Steamed Clams with Garlic & Olive Oil
Ingredients
- 2 pounds Littleneck Clams
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup onion chopped
- 1 tbsp garlic minced
- ¼ cup water or white wine
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- butter melted, for dipping
- parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat oil and sauté onions and garlic about 60 seconds.
- Add water or wine and clams; season to taste.
- Cover and steam until clams open, about 8-10 minutes. Discard any clams that do not open.
- Garnish with parsley, if desired. Serve with melted butter and broth.
