  • Completely thaw lobster tail.
  • Using kitchen shears, cut the lobster tail down the shell to the tail. Do not cut the meat.
  • Once cut, gently pry the meat away from the shell. Meat should be separated from the shell all the way down to the tail. Keep meat & shell intact at the tail only.
  • Gently lift the meat out. With the meat out of the shell, squeeze the empty shell together and lay the meat across the top.
  • Melt butter. Mix a squeeze of lemon juice and seasonings such as paprika, Old Bay, or garlic powder into butter, if desired. Drizzle mixture over tails.
  • Broil according to the guide below. Baste with butter halfway through cooking.
    1-3 oz. = 3-5 minutes
    4-6 oz. = 5-7 minutes
    7-9 oz. = 7-10 minutes
    10-12 oz. = 10-12 minutes
    14-16 oz. = 15-20 minutes
