Grilled Mediterranean Ahi Tuna
Ingredients
- 1 pound tuna steaks
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp lemon juice fresh
- ¼ tsp cracked black pepper
- ½ tsp fresh oregano chopped
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp fresh basil finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
Instructions
- Preheat grill over medium-high heat.
- Place tuna steaks in a shallow dish.
- Mix all spices with oil and lemon juice in a small bowl with a fork or a whisk. Allow to rest for 5 minutes to blend together.
- Brush mixture on both sides of tuna. Allow steaks to rest for another 5 minutes.
- Grill tuna for 2-5 minutes per side to attain desired doneness.
