Grilled Mediterranean Ahi Tuna

Ingredients

  • 1 pound tuna steaks
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp lemon juice fresh
  • ¼ tsp cracked black pepper
  • ½ tsp fresh oregano chopped
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp fresh basil finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced

Instructions

  • Preheat grill over medium-high heat.
  • Place tuna steaks in a shallow dish.
  • Mix all spices with oil and lemon juice in a small bowl with a fork or a whisk. Allow to rest for 5 minutes to blend together.
  • Brush mixture on both sides of tuna. Allow steaks to rest for another 5 minutes.
  • Grill tuna for 2-5 minutes per side to attain desired doneness.
