Adelphia Seafood was founded in the form of its original company, Harry Hahn Seafood, by Harry Hahn and his family in Reading during the 1950s. Walter Hurleman and Donald Wentling acquired the business in 1973 and changed the trading name to Adelphia Seafood in 1983. Walter Hurleman became sole owner and President in 2000. Jason Hurleman and Ted Kuhn (CFO) acquired the business from Walter Hurleman in 2007, when Jason succeeded Walter as President. The company thanks Walter for his tireless efforts during his 34 years with Adelphia. SUCCESS PATH: Adelphia Seafood provides “Fresh Seafood Daily” to its customers through its distribution center in West Lawn, PA. The center includes more than 22,000 square feet of sales and corporate offices, the fresh fish processing area, the production kitchen, frozen storage space, and our flagship retail store.
